The Copse Bar

The Copse Bar is the official bar of the Ripley Bonfire Association. Run by volunteers and serving the cheapest beer in the village, all proceeds from the bar go towards funding the bonfire and supporting the local community.

Open from 5.00 pm, the bar is situated right in the middle of the event, under the copse of trees between the Bonfire, the Fireworks, the Fair and the vehicular entrance to the green. Just come on to the green, past the food stalls and we are just across the small car park on the right hand side. It has quickly become THE place  from which to watch the whole evening unfold.

From humble beginnings selling bottled beer in a rented tombola stand in 2008:

the bar has grown from strength to strength and is now run from a large marquee with proper draught beer run through professional chillers.

Last year in the one evening we sold over 2,000  pints, 105 litres of mulled wine, 60 litres of wine and a little over 400 soft drinks.

At a smidge under 40 foot long it is the longest bar in the village and, with so many volunteers helping out, you are guaranteed not to have to wait long to be served, even at the busiest periods during the evening.

With live music playing from 6.30 pm onwards, The Copse Bar is the ideal place for you and your friends to enjoy a drink whilst having a perfect view of the bonfire and the fireworks.

Serving draught lager, draught cider, draught bitter, warm and spicy home made mulled wine, white wine, red wine and a selection of soft drinks there is something to keep everyone's taste buds satisfied.

So why not join us for a drink at The Copse Bar and help support the Ripley Bonfire.
